| ABOUT |
For me photography is simply an avenue to create something visual. The camera is a tool to make that image that I can stand back and reflect on,, a means to an end where the final picture tells the story no matter how you got there. That's what drives me,, creating a story or world in a frame that I can live in for the moment. That form of expression is what I love whether it is my photography today, drawing as a kid, painting in my college years or writing music. It's the journey, and in that journey knowing the end result will be a new experience when reflected upon. From a young age, growing up outside of Buffalo, NY I felt compelled to compose, I was inspired by certain artists and musicians and encouraged by art teachers as early as I can remember. My path led me to college in New Hampshire and subsequently The New England School of Photography in Boston where I began honing my photography skills and bringing my past artistic lessons into the photographic medium. In my mind San Francisco was a stop along the way, but 13 years later I still can't think of a better place to live. I'm incredibly grateful for the personal and working relations I have developed (many times one in the same) and that I get to do what I love for a living. |
